ASA Member's Web Page Editor

You are about to be presented with the login screen where you can enter your Username and Password. Once you have entered these details the editor will load and you should follow the steps below:

  1. In the centre of the screen there is a box entitled "Please log in", where you should enter your login ID and password and click the login button.
  2. Once logged in you will see a box on the right entitled "Select a file". Click the down pointing arrow and select the file of your company name under Snippets.
  3. Click the "open" button and your page will open with the editable area in view. The footer is in a separate area below this.
  4. The toolbar has all the usual icons similar to Microsoft products.
  5. Make changes as required and click the "preview" button to see if it all looks ok.
  6. If all is well click the "save" button
  7. Click the "logout" button, top right, to finish and leave the editor session.

Most of the editing facilities will be familiar to anyone used to using Microsoft products. There is a help facility that explains the way to use the editing functions.

Images (important information)
You may upload images or photos (using the upload button) to use on your company page but they have to be .jpg files. If you use a digital camera it produces .jpg files by default. Please name the images using your company name i.e. asa01 and asa02 for example and place them in the 'Images' folder.
The size of the image should be a maximum of 150 pixels tall and 280 pixels wide so anything less than that is fine. Also the size in Kilobytes is very important and should be less than 50Kb and ideally less than 30Kb. There is a limit of 150Kb to prevent the upload of large images. If you really want to include larger images then let me know and I will help you to insert or reduce them. Most graphics software will re-size and crop images and you could use Corel Paint Shop Pro or Serif Photo Plus both of which retail at well under £100.00.

To finish editing click "save page" or if you do not wish to keep the changes then click "cancel changes". If you make a mess and save the changes, don't worry as it can be corrected by the web designer.

Finally you must click "logout" button at the top of the page and then close the tab or window..
